Actoplus Met Drug Description
Actoplus Met is an oral medication drug. The medicine primarily consists of pioglitazone hydrochloride and metformin hydrochloride. The medication consists of two oral antihyperglycemic drugs. It is a white, odourless crystalline powder. Pioglitazone is a soluble agent that is easily soluble in acetone and acetonitrile. It is not soluble in water and ethanol though. Metformin is highly soluble in water but insoluble in acetone, ether and chloroform. It is available as a tablet form containing 15 mg of pioglitazone hydrochloride and 500 mg of metformin hydrochloride. Other variations and dosages are also available with higher quantities of metformin hydrochloride specifically. The medication also includes other ingredients like Povidone USP, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Croscarmellose Sodium, Magnesium Stearate, Titanium Dioxide, and talc USP.
