Azopt Drug Description

Azopt is a medication that contains brinzolamide. It is supplied as an eye-drop suspension that is white in color. This drug is used to treat high pressure in eyes and other diseases related to the eyes. Azopt belongs to a class of medicines that are called as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors. This drug achieves its mode of action by decreasing the fluid production inside your eyes, thus reducing the amount of pressure in the eyes. The active ingredient of this drug is brinzolamide. Other inactive ingredients include sodium chloride, tyloxapol, mannitol, edetate disodium, carbomer 974P, purified water with sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid to adjust the pH.
