Taking CeeNU can lead to severe blood disorders. It reduces the functions of bone marrow which results in minimised platelets or white blood cells, leading to anaemia. Because of these blood disorders, your immunity system takes a direct hit, your body loses its ability for fighting infections and your risk of easy bleeding increases manifold. Frequent doses of CeeNU or higher doses of this medication can maximise the risks of these side effects. To prevent these blood disorders from becoming life threatening, your physician will subject you to weekly blood tests and monitor your condition closely for a minimum of six weeks after every dose of CeeNU. There should be a gap of six weeks at least between two doses of this medication. Depending on the outcome of your blood test reports, your physician will decide on further treatment and necessary dosage or dosage alteration. Lomustine is absorbed through lungs and the skin. Women who are trying to conceive or are already pregnant should physically stay away from this medication, should not breath the capsule ingredients or handle the capsules.
