Dosage Information

a.) Typical dosage recommendations

If you are being treated for Parkinson’s disease, your doctor will recommend one 200 mg Comtan tablet to be taken with each and every dose of levodopa and carbidopa. You may have to take this up to 8 times (8 tablets) every day. If you suffer from Dyskinesia or cosume more than 800 mg of levodopa daily, your doctor may reduve the dosage of levodopa carbidopa. This is because Comtan maximizes the blood levels of levodopa carbidopa. You cannot and should not adjust your Comtan dose by yourself without the specific instructions from your doctor. Your doctor may increase or decrease your Comtan dosage depending on factors like other existing medical conditions, other medicines you consume and bothersome side effects.

b.)Missing a dose

If you for some reason have missed a dose, take it when you remember. If you forget to take your dose at the usual time and it is almost time for the next dosage, take the tablet at the next regular schedule and skip the missed dose. You should not consume additional Comtan pills to compensate for missed doses.

c.) Overdosing
