Xenical (orlistat)
Xenical Description
Xenical is a medicinal drug, which contains orlistat. Orlistat is a saturated derivative of the drug lipstatin which naturally inhibits pancreatic lipases that are isolated from Streptomyces toxytricini, a bacterium. Orlistat is designed mainly for the treatment of obesity. It works by preventing the body from absorbing the fats present in a diet, thus lowering overall intake of calories.
