Pulmicort Nebules is a medicine belonging to the corticosteroid category of medications. It is often used in the treatment of bronchial asthma or sometimes even chronic asthma. It is common for medicinal drugs to have side effects. These side effects may not be serious or severe and do not always require immediate medical attention. When a patient starts using a new medicinal drug, he may experience discomfort or few minor side effects until the body gets use to the medication. Common side effects observed with Pulmicort Nebules include mild cough, throat irritation, hoarseness, headache, fever, indigestion or nausea. If the symptoms persist for a couple of days then you may need medical attention. However, if they last for a few hours then it is usually not considered serious. Skin bruising, facial skin irritations etc are also some of the side effects of this medicinal drug. More serious side effects include – sinus infection, ear infection, white patches on the skin or in the mouth and throat, frequent mood changes. Since this drug is used in the treatment of asthma you may experience discomfort while breathing when you initially start the medication. Slightly older patients may experience worsening pulmonary symptoms and cardiac problems. Regular care must be taken to observe patients who have a history of mild heart problems. As soon as you experience the more severe types of side effects listed above then you must contact your doctor immediately and seek medical help. When a patient suffers from severe side effects, it is normal for doctors to discontinue the medication temporarily.
