Altace (ramipril)
Altace Description
Altace is a drug that is used to treat patients with symptoms of high blood pressure or hypertension and heart failure. Altace is also prescribed to patients who have recently suffered a cardiac arrest. The active ingredient of Altace is called ramipril. Ramipril belongs to a particular group of drugs called angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. Altace and other ACE inhibitors work on the arteries by reducing the production of angiotensin converting enzyme.
